Home Improvement Blog: A Toolbox of Ideas
A vinyl sunroom is a great addition to any home, but can you use it during the winter? The answer is yes, with some specific details that must be considered when building your sunroom. There are three main components that create a room that is usable in the cold winter months: windows, insulation and a heating unit.
An Oasis® Sunroom is custom designed for your home, not forced to fit your home. In addition, there are a variety of features, options, and benefits available in an Oasis® sunroom. With the Leisure Room® Series, an all vinyl sunroom looks like it was meant to be part of the home, not an afterthought.
Vinyl is the main visible component in our rooms. Oasis® sunrooms utilize the thermal and aesthetic properties of vinyl to create the best sunroom product. A vinyl sunroom maximizes your room’s enjoyment and efficiency because vinyl offers many benefits over other metal rooms.
A couple invited us to their home to construct a sunroom that would enhance their home and their lives. The customers had a deck outside of their home since they built the home. Set on a beautiful parcel, the customers expressed a desire to enclose their 2nd story deck. They wanted an area that they could enjoy the wonderful outdoor view and setting, as well as prevent the elements and the bugs from “bothering” their outdoor lifestyle. Furthermore, the family wanted to have the living space to be used all year round; a perfect place for a larger Christmas tree and for parties for entertaining.
A hardworking, energetic couple came to us for help on finding a solution for their existing sunroom. They had purchased a waterfront vacation home on beautiful Atwood Lake. The property was gorgeous, but the house desperately needed some tender loving care. On the rear of the home overlooking the lake was a run-down “sunroom”. The existing sunroom was just some old patio doors probably from over 30 years ago. The doors were difficult to open and unsightly disrupting their beautiful view.
