As winter has descended upon Northeast Ohio and the region, hundreds of local home improvement companies, landscapers, patio furniture retailers, you name it, are preparing for the 2011 Cleveland Great Big Home & Garden Expo at Cleveland’s I-X Center February 5-13th with Ty Pennington as their spokesperson.
From a consumer’s standpoint, people are tired of shoveling snow and bundling up in winter clothes. The Great Big Home & Garden Expo is an escape of winter and allows people to “think spring.”
Going to the Show
Going to the Great Big Home & Garden Expo is very similar in preparing to go to an amusement park, for example, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Some families have a method to how they are going to see all the attractions and ride the rides. Once they enter the entrance gate, they immediately go to the back of the park and work their way to the front. This way they will beat long lines. Others go right to the attraction or ride that is most important to them and stand in the queue line.
The same method can be used at the Great Big Home & Garden Expo in the I-X Center. Once entering, some people just want to see the feature celebrity gardens and go there first. After that, they just wander the rest of the show. Others head to the back of the I-X Center and go see the feature model homes, where they will stand in a queue line to see the latest trends in home décor and architecture.
There is also your serious shopper who is specifically in the market for a certain product, whether it be replacement windows, barns, garage doors, sunrooms, patio furniture, decks or landscaping ideas. They won’t be disappointed because the Great Big Home & Garden Expo has hundreds of companies at the show to choose from.
